Friday at the lake

I'm heading out to Lost lake in the morning for a little fun with the 4 wt and to try out the new intermediate line I got while in Bend. I will be leaving Hillsboro between 7 and 8 if anyone wants to join me. I will be taking the LBD and two can fish from it. I'll check for PMs in the morning before I go.

Nice Day

It was a nice day on the lake with only a few other anglers on shore and one in a float tube. Very little wind and fish jumping everywhere! Including some of the Hatchery Stealhead they put in a while ago. I saw one in the shallows under some logs and he looked very healthy. I just couldn't figure out why they were jumping? I checked the stomach contents of the fish I caught and did not find any bugs? Just a rubber band in the smallest one.

I put three in the cooler for dinner this weekend using an olive woolly bugger.

If you just want a fish on the end of your line use powerbait or worms.

I've been trying to catch them on a fly.
