Fresh steelhead?

Are winters showing up in good numbers in most coastal streams? In particular the Siletz, but just checking if it's worth going out yet for some fresh fish. Thanks.

Pretty much all the coastal rivers have received a few winters.. some more than others, but they'll all have a few now. Get out n scout! For Siletz right now do town drift or lower, not going to be more than a few above there right now. Coming from Keizer, I'd go Nestucca before before Siletz right now though..

Thanks a lot for the tips. Back in his day my dad knew the Siletz like the back of his hand, but he hasn't fished in 10 or 15 years now. I've never caught a steelhead so we are wanting to get out and do some catching ...oh whoops I mean fishing... Lol. We are in the planning phase, but I'm thinking we will go out somewhere tomorrow.

If anyone has anything else to add it would be appreciated! Thanks again.

I agree w/ Mark. In any, and all, streams the runs are just beginning. So, fish will be in the lower stretches.

Good luck. Bag 'em n' tag 'em.

Floated the moonshine run today,There are fish around. At least four, anyway.:D

Wow! That's great to hear... the run sounds like it may be good this year! Moonshine to twin is a pretty fun drift float.

Don't you mean four LESS fish around?

And how was the "hooch"?

Nicely done; and I'm glad to see that they are upstream already.

Very nice, steelhead1!

We couldn't get out of town yesterday, but glad to hear you were successful.
