We were trolling the siuslaw today by the casting rock wall just above the coast guard station when we decided to pull in and move. So I pointed the boat toward the middle of the river and we all started to bring in our lines.
My buddy was half way in when it was fish on !!
In it came and the there was his tackle and 10 ft back was the fish.
He had snagged about 25 ft of line and a mooching rig with a 25 lb Chinook on it.
We landed the fish that was still pretty hot , A hard thing to do with all that line out !!
This is this the second time that this has happened to us .
Amazingly enough the first time it happened we caught a fish and tackle that we ourselves had lost 45 minutes before.
We were by the barge below Cushman on a Saturday with 100 other boats and yet we were the ones that managed to snag our own tackle and fish again !
So My question is are these fish snagged or are they leagal fish ??
