First time on the Wilson

Found a nice stretch of water, figured fish would be holding in a particular spot and no sooner than I think it, a steelhead jumps out of that spot. Couldn't get it to bite nor the other leaping fish that were all around. No fish to take home but still a great first trip when I was able to see them in holding and observe a bit.

Sounds like a pretty day to me Kage. :thumb:

That Wilson river is a very nice place to spend a day, fish or no fish.

Glad you enjoyed one of my longtime haunts. This time of year, stealth is required. Try to always start at the bottom of the run and work your way up (I try to cast as far upstream as possible, to reduce the chance of being seen).

But there's a much more important issue here:

Was the result of your manuscript fulfilled?

Yah I need to work on being much quieter and less visible. In retrospect I think the fish knew I been there the whole time. I been fishing water the wrong way, I usually fish top to bottom. Hmmmm refresh my memory if you would about this manuscript?
