First springer 2018 for Jeff and Inna

Saturday, March 17, 2018 marked the beginning of "springer season" for Jeff and Inna. They had success, going one for one in the lower Willamette River. It is still early, but fish are being caught, although not many. The next few weeks should see the fishing improving significantly as long as we do not get a lot of rain, which would increase the turbidity levels. Congratulations on the beautiful fish.

That video could be used as a training film. "Inna" I assume, really did a great job on that fish. I like the way she kept the rod tip up, and when the fish was in the net she went after and controlled the lead weight and gear. She even checked her drag while fighting the fish. She sure knows how to land a fish. Awesome job.

We have the data back from the biologists about the fish caught. It had a chip in the snout.

5 year old fish!
