Finally caught fish on the fly!!!

WEnt to eagle creek with my brother with my new fly rod i got two days ago.
Just 2-4 inch smolt again, but it was fun

Ya i hope so. The water is pretty low there and the fish are small. I think i saw some whitefish or something too. How is fishing at the hatchery. Are the fish bigger?

I would imagine that the fishing would be great at the Hatchery for big brood stock but I think that would be against the regs!:shock: Keep practising and when the water rises a little the bigger fish will show themselves.

Ya, well not the hatchery I meant above or below

but ya, does anybody know when the river rises and the fish get bigger, not steel, just larger trout

All you will ever catch there are smolts, that`s it. When they get bigger they go bye, bye. There are sooooo many more trout fisheries to look at. Upper Clack., E.C., way up the trail in the C.R. gorge, and I`m drawin a blank this early but if ya did a search on here and Westfly.com you`d find a whole new, more satisfying, world of trout fishin out there.
