Early steelhead streams

Gotta get out to the water and look for some steel. Don't really know the coast that well but was thinking of hitting up either the Kilchis, Wilson or Big Creek. Not super sure where to look for fishy water or good access points on Big Creek. I've fished the Kilchis for salmon but not steel, is there access up the Kilchis River Road above the boat launch? Anyway if you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears for the morning, really I just want to find some water to test out my homemade jigs.

The kilchis doesn't have much bank access from what I hear, but the wilson has lots if the flows have dropped from last weeks storm. You might want to try the nestucca too.

End up at the North Fork Nehelam, no luck but found some new water and saw the guys at the disabled access spot land a #15er. Good to explore new water. I'll have to check out the Necanicum next time.
