It was one of those days when the boat wakes were really getting old and wind was picking up and just not feeling it, so we turned against the herd of boats coming upriver, heading back towards the launch, and then this happened... video starts about 7 minutes into the fight just as we got it near the boat for the first time...

We do not have enough data on that yet. This fish really wanted to get under the boat but in the end, it got in the cooler!

Yeah, with steelhead in the drift boat, it works very well. A couple of nice hard stomps and they usually are right out from underneath. In the bay, with much more room than a river you can throw a rock across, they may feel more comfortable as being able to dive 15ft below the surface other than just a few feet. Idk, just speculating on this sunny day.

I want to see another toad... We hooked up with our bobbers yesterday. Felt good to get out.
