Donaca Lake

Has anyone gone fishing in Donaca Lake before? It's up in the middle santiam wilderness probably has cutthroat in it but I'm curious if anyone has any experience with it

I've never been there. But, I strongly advise you to check with the Forestry Department to see if the roads are open yet. Since last years fires, many are closed and trespassers are getting fined.

Thanks for the warning, I drove up to the trailhead yesterday but I'll look around online to see if anything is closed.

Yes. Fished it many times. Cutthroat. Don’t go in on Chimney peak trailhead, save yourself some work and go in from the 2041. Hike over to Mcnabb falls If you have time.
