Devils Lake has some new Grass Carp

Grass carp has been stocked into Devils Lake about 4 days ago, I've tried to fish off the Regatta dock once with no success, probably gonna try this weekend if I can't get out to my crawfishing spot.

I hope they were sterile carp, I have seen the results of plantings gone wrong.

You mention "tried to fish". Does that mean your target fish is CARP? If so, I believe that's illegal. Check your regs. Tony

Sorry for the late reply, but I did just recently learn on the legality of carp fishing, I'm a really new beginner in fishing, but I also do know there is a ton of rainbows in there, I always go for rainbows in Devils Lake, never really thought of fishing for carp there.

Yes, they are sterile. Locals wanted to clear up the water apprently.

And, yes, you cannot target them.
