Decent bite

My buddy and I hit Hagg for the evening bite and he hooked into this fish which by our standards is very nice at 16" and some change and at least 3lbs! It was his first fish while out with me to Hagg, I was super happy for him. He also caught a dink after that and I caught one about 12". I had a nice takedown that peeled drag off like crazy, I had switched to my other pole and forgot to adjust the drag before using it, it spit the hook as I was adjusting the drag. Once again the Gary Yamamoto Green Pumpkin/Watermelon produces!

Briefly considered taking the yak out early this morning. My gut said skip it today and tomorrow due to the crowds trying to cool down. Congrats to your friend.
