Custom fly tying base

So happy I got this finished today simple its 4.6" x 4.4" one inch thick and weighs 6lbs made out of hardened stainless steel

Before

Set screw holds vise in place drilled and tap everything is manually milled and surface ground top for a nice finish.

I really wrap my jigs tight, and even with a clamp my vice moves around a bit while tying, how's that do staying put?

test jig a lot of things tied on there to test base for jigs and happy to report base didn't move and wound thread as tight as I could without snapping it

Majority of vise rods are close to size so ill be able to always use this base need to upgrade to a rotary vice
