Crappie Time

I've been hitting the ponds after some crappie the last few days with my girlfriend. Fishing has been decent and we've caught plenty of fish on both crappie jigs and Miracle Worms.





We've also been catching quite a few bass on the crappie jigs, and Jacque has caught the largest one so far...



Hopefully they'll be staying in shallow for a little while longer because it sure is nice being able to catch 50+ fish in just a few hours.

Makes me want to go to my favorite lil' crappie spot too.

got a 5lb largemouth on a crappie jig a few years ago, that was a trip.

Nice fish got a lot of nice crappie at selmac in the spring!

Not to poach (i.e. hijack) here...but the state record German Brown was caught w/ a crappie jig too.

Now back to crappie and bass.

The Oregon state record Brown was caught out of Paulina on a Rapala type lure in 2002*

I went out again the other day by myself and took the float tube out this time. The crappie were definitely a lot pickier, but after I figured them out it turned into a decent day. Here's the largest one of the day, and it came on a Miracle Worm again.
