The water was damn cold Sunday with all the snow melting, but fishing was decent and we even got a decent bwo hatch with a couple on dries. Mostly a nymph show but we did connect on a streamer fish as well.

excellent post man, looks like a great day on the river for you, thanks for sharing
Yeah, it was pretty. It actually got wrapped in a stick and I went in and netted it for my fishing partner. We normally get one at least that big every trip. I love winter in the valley!

Wow, gorgeous colors! Thanks for sharing.
Is that one of the original model St. Croix Avid rods? The blank and wrap color is identical to my old Avid.

Oh, OK...... I'm so glad I don't have to fish over there.

More than happy to talk about privately just not publicly. I have put a lot of work in to find these large valley trout, just don't want to ruin it.

Not to sidetrack or hijack (nice fish by the way) but when you have your town location listed and say willamette valley river it really narrows down what river since so few are open for trout still. Go ahead and share, no one will chase you off your hole.

You can fish almost the entire valley all winter! That's the beauty of it!
