Where is the Chetco? Is that in Washington? Sorry if my knowledge of rivers and their locations is pretty lame.

Go there in March and fish for "bluebacks". I haven't done it but it's been on the radar. They are small steelhead, sort of like what a "jack" is to salmon.

BC has some awesome fishing!! Good one! I would say alaska for their bows. But other then that I would like to be able to say that i have put a line in every fishable river along the oregon coast

The Frasier, in BC, spits out GINORMOUS Steel every year!

And there is a river in Argentina, with Browns as large as our Springers (and bigger)!

ROAD TRIP??? LOL

I did the grays this summer. Huge fish that love to eat artificial flies. You should also spend time on the salt and snake if you are taking a drifter. Don't pass up the little grays for epic dry fly fishing with a light rod. The biggest fish I got was 14 inches on the little grays but it was non stop action. These all deserve to be on your bucket list spydey.

Trout-tacular!
Not my list but my suggestions:

Rock Creek, MT
Bitterroot, MT
Silver Creek, ID
Big Wood, ID,
Owyhee, OR
Williamson, OR
Wood, OR

They're not far off exotic places but they are great to fish.

Have you been lucky enough to fish all those?

All but the Wood and Williamson. Those are my targets for late summer early fall next year.

I loved fishing around Missoula, MT. Wish I'd had more time there. Great suggestions.

Don't wait Spydey. My boys, now 9 and 10, have been doing fishing road trips alone for 3 years. The absolute best time fishing I have ever had.

I even threw my 3 yr old daughter in with us once this year.....a little more work that I like but still fun.
