Best spot for bank fishing in Barton

I usually see people holed up under the bridge in Barton Park. I was wondering if there are some good spots higher up the river which you can walk/wade to? Trying to land my first winter steelhead I have waders and am drift fishing if that helps.

I've only been fishing there twice so maybe someone local could be more detailed. I walked up about a mile and found spots to fish before I couldn't proceed farther. There was one spot where I recall I had to wade across some shallow water where they were doing some restoration work. It could be a lot deeper now, I don't know. Better get out and explore.
