Any new reports from Crane Prairie?

Thinking of heading up Wednesday, but I wonder how all the hot weather we've been having has affected the bite, or even the lake itself.
Thanks In advance

I actually just pulled into Crane. Have been at other lakes the past 4 days, and they were good good good, until yesterday. Fishing died off a bit, but still catching. Chirnomids... We'll see how Crane goes.

I heard CP now has an Algae Bloom.
Can anyone confirm this?

Plenty of algae in the water. Fishing is still good. Took a friend out there Sunday evening and she hooked an 18" rainbow on the first cast before I even got a line wet. I usually like cruising around fishing the flooded timber but with the warmth, we just fished the channels and did well.

Did anyone give it a try over the holiday?

Gave it a try yesterday morning (7/10). No fish to report - Weather was rough and continued to get rougher as the day progressed. We called it a day when the whitecaps arrived.

Was there on Thursday; fished until 2PM.
Came away skunked....not even a hit and I wasn't the only one.
A callibaetis hatch the night before meant there wasn't much hunger anywhere.
Weather was cooperative and the wind wasn't bad, but it was a wasted trip.
