Think you smoked the best salmon in Southern Oregon? Now it's time to prove it!
We are excited to announce the third annual 2016 Southern Smoked Salmon Competition to be held on Saturday October 1st from 1PM - 5PM at The Commons in Medford, Oregon.
Last year, attendance at the Southern Oregon Smoked Salmon Festival exceeded 500 guests and raised over $15,000 for Maslow Project. Our returning champion will be back in 2016 so you better bring your A game if you think you have a shot at the title of best smoked salmon in Southern Oregon.
The growing event will feature live local music, wine, beer and food. The winner will receive a $1000 cash prize and awarded the distinction of the best smoked salmon in Southern Oregon. 2nd place will get $500 and 3rd place $250. The SOSSF is a child friendly event and admission is free to all children under the age of 18.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will be given to Maslow Project – a nonprofit grassroots organization based in Medford, Oregon providing street outreach, basic needs, crisis intervention, advocacy, and essential support services to homeless children and their families in Jackson County, Oregon.
We are currently seeking competitors for the smoked salmon competition. We are limiting the number of competitors to 20, so please complete your entry forms by August 31st, 2016. Your support makes the success of this event possible so please enter the competition, attend the event and share this information with your friends - thanks!
