An evening with my daughter

Took my 15yr old daughter Jacqueline out for an evening float on the Mckenzie. Didn't take too long and her rod had folded. She pulled it from the holder and brought the fiesty springer to the net like a pro. Wasn't too long and my buddies rod folds, as I am clearing my rod, Jacquie's rod folds...a double...what a night. Both fish made it to the boat, however Jacquie's was the hatchery fish of the two.
Didn't take too long and my rod folded, another hatchery springer. We ended up 4-4 with 3 hatchery fish in 2 plus hrs after work....

The river has been pretty kind to me this season. It is always great to take one of the kids to the river and watch them catch fish....I will post a pic in the steelhead section of my 7 yr old and his steelhead from last week...

It is the proverbial Blind Squirrel thing....I have had a pretty good year for springers despite the relatively small run. The high cold water has really helped to concentrate the fish. The trick was figuring out what part of the holes they were in....

Jacquie was pleasantly pleased to say the least...and I am very impressed with the way she handled those fish....almost as if she'd been doing it since she was old enough to hold a fishing rod:yay::yay:
