New to the area and heard there's some fishing to be done on the Alsea River. Wondering if there are any areas on the river i should check out. Any advice on lures would be lovely as well. Thanks!

Plenty of cutties and bows in that stream. Drop a salmon egg or bit of worm over the drop OFF's for bows. Cutties will be in the slower flowing pockets. Fling small brown rooster tails for them.

Please note that only artificial flies and lures are legally allowed. Baits of any kinds are illegal.

In about a month...and if you're into fly fishing...the Bluebacks will start migrating upstream (Sea run cutthroats). The Borden Special was specifically designed for Bluebacks on that river. By fly fishing legend Bob Borden.
