So I haven't been posting any fish porn lately cause I have been busy chasing chrome and also to prevent story chasers, but this one is a little different. On July 3Rd, my wife gave birth to our first born. Beautiful baby boy. So as you can imagine, its been a little while since I hit the water. Almost 2 weeks (which is a long time considering I'm out almost every single day usually). This morning (the 11th) was the first time back out on the water and it was surprisingly slow for this time of year usually its a slay fest. Saw a couple roll, but besides the one I landed, didn't see any others caught while I was out. Length was cookie cutter at 28, but was exceptionally thick! Lots of thick fish this year at least. Guessing 8-9 pounds due to thickness. (compared fillets to one of the 10 pounders I had in the freezer and could barely tell the difference)
congradulation on both. I need to get out it's been three weeks with no excuses, that's what I get for having my boat vinyl wrapped. by the way my daughter is 15 driving, it goes by fast. 11 lbs 3 ounces :shock: it hurt me and I was just watching.
