The 2019 weekly trout stocking schedule. Starting the week of 12/17, on through mid-September of 2019. Good job ODFW. This usually isn't updated for another month or two!

Weekly trout stocking schedule

It also looks like--at least at first glance--that they are really ramping it up too. I've NEVER seen THIRTY TWO pages before. EVER!

Tight lines to all,

Good information for anyone who wants to get out, and fish for rainbow trout. Just click the link and explore. Then click on any of the "blue fish head" graphics, for more information about that specific location.

Please share your stories, and pics, with the rest of us. Good luck and tight lines!

The last of the season's lunker hatchery trout have been planted by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Brood trout are large rainbow trout, weighing several pounds each, used in the production of state hatchery fish for stocking in lakes, ponds and reservoirs. Brood trout, however, lose some of their reproductive potential as they age and are stocked in selected waters after their breeding cycles.
This week, 100 were stocked in St. Louis Ponds near Woodburn and 114 went to Henry Hagg Lake near Forest Grove.
The week's regular winter stocking went to Junction City Pond and Walter Wirth Lake and Walling Pond in Salem. Both pan-sized trout and larger fish were stocked in those waters.
Department officials said no more brood trout will be released this winter, but regular stocking will continue through the spring months.
