I would explore Hood River area. Closer and you can have some fun catching some nice cutthroat on the East Fork Hood river. There's a Fly shop in town with good info and many Breweries.... Cheers..

You can go both ways. I try to go the paved rout 57. Still some slides but no problem getting through. I saw vehicles with boats get through. The camp ground is maintained pick a site away from others should have no problem. With weather getting better going to be busy.

Get small ones in gold and silver. Very effective. I always carry frog pattern in size 1. Always catch trout.

Ok. Another trip to this beautiful lake....... The natives are getting restless as the weather gets better... :)
