I like to hang around the Garibaldi ramp and watch guys yell at their driver on how to back down ramp to pull boat out. Rather than get their lazy asses into the vehicle and get it to the water. On a good day you get to see the wife tell him where to put the boat.
The city did the easy part, they talked about. Talk is always standard first response from government, hoping it just ends there and they can call it done.
Tossing the few you catch is not going to help nothing currently, the smallmouth is there for good. It will take more money than can ever acquire to eradicate. Tossing on the bank is now a psychological thing
That is my belief. I have fished that watershed some as it is local and I target trout and never seen one that far up. Other trout families but not the Sea Run family you are targeting.
Some parts of the John Day at the right time are the greatest confidence builders for fly fishing. Poppers or a mouse just get it in the water. They may just be dinks but they are fun.
That’s a bummer, I lost a box onetime. The cost and collection can be replaced but if it was a gift it really hurts. I now have a little stickers on the inside with email. Naturally once that is complete I have been little more careful and haven’t lost a box again.
