wilson is above 6 feet today and it fishes best between 4-6 feet ..it might be fishable tommorow but my doubts are more inclined with all the nuisance inculding leaves and what not...if you just want to get your line wet..do it... who knows the fish gods might be smilin...its fishing:D
1 to 1-1/2 oz bobber...try to get the balsa one as they frizzle and sizzle even with slightest touch ( and thats just my personal opinion after using all kinds ) keep your bait anwhere from 6 - 8 feet but usually 8 is a good number..i had takedowns on 6 as well. Milky eggs and a sand shrimp...
wilson, trask or any other coastal river in that zone won't be good before wed or thursday....river levels were quite high and considering the rain is gonna taper off for atleast couple days..i believe the above said days will be fine and especially tidewater as my guess is that most of darkies...
boat or bank...anything less than 20 lb on wilson in fall season ( in most cases which I have seen ) is hard to work.....1 out of 40 or 50 fisherman is able to do that...i.e. in short....a refined fisherman can sure pull a salmon on even 8 lb but lets be practical....

I donno about winter steelhead but my first steelhead in oregon was at oxbow park at the launch...just down the rapids....a perfect 9 lb'er..infact a shade over....it was a summer metalhead..just gorgeous and i caught it on "the rag"...i love that thing just for the fact that you can fish that...
