Color matters a lot in more shallow water. I find in different locations, certain colors work better than others!

I went back and looked at the thread I previously saw on this. Rvrfshr is going to an OEM hook. I do not want to use an OEM hook. For one thing I never heard of them. Another thing, I don't want to go to a Chinese hook. Yes, I know many have sent China their business for making their hooks...

I never even tried them for bass. Thanks for the idea on that. The trout I fish for around here are all stocked. We only get them in the winter here because the trout would die in the summer heat.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. What have you caught with a Thunderbug? I don't think any trout have ever hit one of my Thunderbugs, I have one or two of them.

Good, so you have no problem with their quality then? I just don't want any hooks failing on me. That would really upset me. I have been lucky so far on the hooks I use. But if I got a bad batch, I would be mad. There is a certain brand of hook I won't use anymore because of hook failure...

I guess nobody has a comment on the newer Matzuo hooks. I had planned to try them, and I heard they were good. The older ones are good quality, but like I read by rvrfshr, the newer hooks aren't up to par. Just wondering about finding a small box to try out, from either another company...or...
