    NFC FAF's blanks?

Check out Stryker Rods in Eugene. They carry a good selection of finished blanks for the PNW and are local.

    Striker rods

Stryker will be at the Portland show next week. We will have the full steelhead lineup available and on a show special. Spring Chinook, Summer Steelhead, Kokanee and Fall Chinook rods almost complete. Mid April is the goal at the moment. The website will be loaded with inventory after the sports...

    PNW waders

Get the dryfts when there on sale. I personally run Simms G4Z but tons of folks run dryfts and are happy.

    Alsea river winter steelhead fishing

Couple things to consider. Winter steelhead generally blow through tidewater and aren't easily or successfully targeted by anyone until they slow down in the river. If your just starting out, go to the upper river near the hatchery..your best odds.

    A question about trolling rods

1: Glad to hear it 2: Do the math, a small 6 ft wide boat fishing 9ft rods off the bow theoretically covers 24 ft of water side to side. A larger guide style boat with 12ft bow rods and 9 feet at the gunnel theoretically covers 33 feet. Add the sequentially staggered rods staged a couple feet...

    A question about trolling rods

A couple points to consider: 1: longer rods at the bow and sequentially shorter towards the stern allow separation between rigs reducing tangles 2: longer rods cover more water which is more productive 3: longer rods aren't necessarily noodles. Many are capable of fishing 20oz lead plus enough...

    Lower Columbia wallye....

Forgot to mention, two very good walleye guys who usually share information are Cameron Black and Bill Taylor. A phone call or facebook message is usually all it takes. They both have years of below bonnie experience.

    Long Tom confluence

Looking at google earth, I'd bet the river is fairly even in depth from bank to bank . The mouth of the Molalla seems shallow. Id personally fish below the mouth where it drops off the delta into the main river. Sturgeon roam around like cows in a field, find a place where its not snaggy with...

    Girls gone fishin'!

If you're looking at Western Oregon, a charter boat for rockfish / salmon will be easiest. Talk to your group, get an exact count. If your looking at renting 1 boat, pontoons or house boats are available in larger reservoirs like Shasta, brownlee etc. May and June is springer season, and much to...

    Lower Columbia wallye....

The reason why there is more information and people targeting them in the mid-upper Columbia, is its better year round. I'm headed to Portland right now. I will ask a friend who guides occasional trips in your area of question
