    New canoe - now what?

Lake Estacada is a nice spot nearby Portland to get comfortable with the process. You can drop in at McIver park boat launch. There are some videos on YouTube of the lake If you want a preview. Just make sure you don’t forget to pay your $5 day fee on the way in.

    Rivers Clackamas River Fishing Reports

I can answer my own question. Just found the list of all the closures and service road 46 is listed so it looks like the upper reaches of the clack are off limits. Looking forward to spring 2022🤞

    Rivers Clackamas River Fishing Reports

Planning to dive past Harriet and see how close I can get to the Clack or it’s upper tributaries. Read 224 was closed from east of Promontory park to mile marker 49.8 which would be at Ripplebrook. Not sure what the conditions are like above it. Anyone know if you can access the area?

    Harriet Lake Fishing Reports 2021

Made a quick trip to Harriet on Saturday morning. Service road 57 is open so no more detour. Saw success pitching rooster tails off the fishing platform with a handful of Rainbows caught and released. No interest in eggs or power baits of any kind but others were pulling in an occasional fish...

    Harriet Lake Fishing Reports 2021

The Tenkara way looks interesting for those smaller streams coming off mount hood if you don’t mind the log hopping. Never tried it but the video’s look pretty straight forward. I imagine it’s more challenging than it looks. Can a cheaper rod work as beginning gear or is it a waste of money.

The route is marked with small detour signs when you come to splits that are not obvious which is the main route. At night they may be harder to spot. Have fun. Jay

    Harriet Lake Fishing Reports 2021

Starts right at the Timothy dam on 5810 to 5820. You pass over anvil creek to shell rock road. The road is mixed gravel and paved. It’s one lane with wide spots to allow for traffic to pull over. If your planning a large RV it may be a challenge. People with trailers seemed fine. Here is a pic...

Fly and spinning from fishing float tube

Loved this thread. Tubes come in all types and shapes. Are there a few favorites for smaller mountain lakes or pocket inlets out of the wind? Of any that should be avoided? I see them posted lightly used online at reasonable prices and was going to give it a shot.

    Harriet Lake Fishing Reports 2021

Be aware the road between Harriet and Timothy is now closed. I believe the sign said until mid July. Access to Harriet is being rerouted through single lane forest service roads. The extra time was worth it on Friday as the bite was still great.

The gravel road section was fine. A few potholes in a couple sections but otherwise fine. Nothing to worry about.

Yes. You need to access the lake forest road 57 from Timothy lake dam. PPG also opened the camp sites this weekend.

Visited Harriet Lake this morning and timed it perfectly. Trophy sized stocked this week and they were crushing rooster tails. Lots of fun. Enjoy the holiday.

Lakes Henry Hagg Lake Fishing Reports

New to posting but thought you may like to know about Hagg. From 12-2pm I caught 4 trout and missed a 5th with rainbow power bait about 30” off the bottom at the small inlet at the south end of the Dam. The water is low so don’t do what I did and blindly walk the trail at the west end to the...
