another spot thats amazing for fly fishing is Merrill lake..although its in washington its strictly fly fishing only and you may have to hike a mile or so to get to it this time of year..i was up there a couple weeks ago and got to mile marker 3..had to turn around because of the snow..only had...

well next time your over in this area i suggest heading down to maupin fishing the deschutes river its around 40 miles south of the dalles

when you fished the hood..where did u fish?? close to the dam..near the pipe line..or the mouth? from what people tell me the best place to go is by the pipeline..i live 20 miles away and have only fished it 3 or 4 times so couldnt really tell you much
