    Oregon Steelhead 2024

Lost a giant after fighting it for 5 mins. Then lost a second fish average size and this one saved me from the skunk. Y’all got any advice on fighting big fish. I can’t seem to keep the big ones pinned. It almost spooled me by taking me down river so I had to force it into a calm run and then it...

Thank you! This forum and its members have helped me greatly. Here’s a photo of the last one I got right before the end of October.

    Oregon Steelhead 2024

Hooked four over the weekend and landed these two natives. It was pretty sketchy climbing down the ice, but I made it back in one piece.

Got them on the Borden, reverse spider, spruce, and a pink streamer that I forgot the name of. Fished higher and lower in the river system both areas produced. Sea runs on the fly

I fished the coast's first significant downpour. I lost two large sea runs and landed two decent ones. I also got a dozen or so fish in the 5–10-inch range. When I left the water was no longer clear, but discolored, and the river level had risen about 5 inches. Coho and chinook swam past me in...

    Sea runs on the fly

Hard to say without seeing them in person. Google October caddis and see if the size and color match what you saw.

    Browns

Couple pics of some of my first browns out of Oregon. PMD, Griffith's gnat, small nymphs, and large white and yellow streamers worked for them. TFO pro III 7'6 3 wt and a beluah guide series ii 6wt were the rods I was using. Reels were lamson liquid and sage spectrum c. Broke my 6wt tho :(...
