Flyfisheress

I was a catch and release fisheress and tie my own flies. Then I thought Why drag the fish to me and hurt them to remove the hook? The reason I fish to match the hatch, fool a fish and see the take. So I became an only dryfly fisheress and I cut my hooks off at the bend.
I asked ODFW if hookless fishing is fishing.? The ODFW said the fish might swallow the hookless fly and be landed so hookless fishing was considered fishing and I needed to pay for a fishing license.
Now we own riverfront on the South Coquille and no fishing license is needed for propery owners. Still need tags for Salmon and Steelhead but who cares? I only fish hook;lessly for trout when in season. My husband fishes crank and crane for smallwouth bass for food at all thimes of the year.
