Slow weekend

it was pretty slow, but im glad we got out and caught a few, and colby taught me a thing or two like usual
we didn't take many pictures but here's what i got.. some other guys may have picked up a few more...
Justin from J&J tackle hosted a tournament at my pond today. we all had to use Jigs that he tied. we did a little prefishing saturday night here's a couple pics




colby caught a bunch, but he doesn't like having his picture taken with small bass

tournament morning! some of the boats loaded up and ready to haul down to the launch

colby was my fishing partner for the tourny, so of coarse.. we won! had a 23 pound limit in a 4 hour long tournament! within the first hour we had our 5 fish and were starting to throw back the smaller ones and work on catching some fatter ones, no one caught anything over 5 pounds, pretty lame.. but atleast everyone got into a couple fish!
we had 6 fish because we caught one right when we were heading up to weigh in and didn't know which was the lightest fish yet..

thanks for coming up and showing me whats up, and hope you're warmed up for nationals next weekend! also thanks to J&J tackle for providing us with some sweet jigs! CHECK EM OUT PEOPLE!

Looked like a great weekend! Ive been thinking about getting a basshunter for a while now. What are your thoughts on them? likes/dislikes would be appreciated!

i don't have one, they were all other guys! they seem very stable, and easy to haul around, just in the back of a pickup. just tight quarters...

Looks like it was a good time..TR you have a great place to fish and you had some good fisherman out there.What was the water temps looking like....The fishing only going to get better and better next few weeks

50 degrees! The few we caught fought HARD my wife is busy next Saturday, might have to get you out for a fee hours then if you're not busy workin!

Yep great day even though we prob came in last , knew it would be tough to beat the jig masters at their own game! The weather ended up fantastic first t shirt fishin this year . Thanks again for having us out ! Hawgcaller has our pics should say his think from the get go my day was off think I may have been the only one who got skunked lol . It ended well though actually found my dry box /camera / fishing license /go to gear in the ditch about a mile north of my place completely intact/ unharmed. So due to a lot of luck I can at least post the biggest fish I saw this weekend courtesy of Darth beans and a little home court advantage .....

Yeah thanks again TR!! as always was great to fish out there and even getting outfished again is still super cool! thought for SURE you and CP would weigh in all 5+'s.....but still way to go as is it stood. Was great to see everybody again but there never seems to be any time.....FP and wife were awesome as always and can't wait til the next time!!

Had a great time we will have to do it again, wanted to thank Dave and Alisa for letting us stay at their place its a great time up there fishing or not and always good to see friends!.

Ryan had some awesome rods to show off at the tournament, and one in particular that I took a liking to great work Ryan thats an incredible feeling rod I think it will be put to good use

Wanted to thank my fishing partner TR himself he was on a roll in the morning and I was forced to be his net man for the first few minutes of the day MULTIPLE TIMES! Once he finally let me make a full cast we had out limit by 8:14am when I sent a text to my friend saying "20# in da well!" from there on out it was a long day of culling pesky 4lbrs for hard earned 4.5lbrs.

Also wanted to thank Brian and Mel for making the trip happen for me, and Justin at J&J tackle for putting it all together for everyone his jigs are killer! check them out on facebook if you want to get hooked up with some of the best bass jigs on the market with the upgraded clear coat that is all but bullet proof. Had a great time overall and it was great to meet and fish with the OSU bass team!
