They were below the falls. A month ago there were no fish above.

I am aware that this post is almost a month old. given that, are you fishing around here in Eugene? O

No, not fishing the eugene area. The bulk of the lower willamette fish have not shown up yet and I will fish there eagerly anticipating the great fishing ahead. I then move to Newport for Halibut. I have friends who have fished the Eugene area but little success so far.

There won't be 'good' fishing near eugene for at least a few more weeks to a month. Cinco de-mayo historically is a pretty good day for fish moving over the falls, but every year is different, and that might not hold true this year. It takes 7-10 days for those fish to get near Eugene.
