Crabbing spots?

Where's some good places to take my 9 year old son crabbing? I haven't been crabbing since I was a kid and forgot where my dad took me. Off any docks between Florence and Lincoln city? Thanks.

There is a dock near the south jetty in Florence but the crabbing is poor this time of year.

Behind the Rogue brewery there is a dock. I have done well off there on high tides or at night!!! easy to get to and pretty safe.Plus there is dumpsters by the boat ramps that you can get your bait.

Alsea bay dock or newport dock can be good. crabbing is slow right now with a lot of soft shell crab in the bays right now.

I like sept, oct ,nov the best. lots of hard shell crab. as long as it doent rain hard. rain in the bay pushes the crab back to the ocean. Waldport has some good dock crabbing.
