Caught the biggest trout of my life today

Today my girlfriend and I went to a stocked pond to try and catch trout. After snapping off a trophy at the bank first cast I ended up limiting out. I caught two ten inchers, two 16 inchers, and on giant 25" five pound brooder

I caught two brooks, 15" and 17".

I didn't have to pay becauseI have the ODFW parking permit

I knew there was Brooks in there but I didn't catch one. What's best way to land a Brooky?

Oh yeah, Parking Permit comes w/ a fishing license. I forgot.

A few years back; I nabbed a 17" brookie casting/retrieving a silver Kastmaster spoon.

A free Parking Permit is not included with an annual fishing license. But it is free with with some types of licenses. Here is an official link for more information:

I don't know the best way but I caught my brooks using a 1/6 oz green rooster tail.

Best part was it was on a 4'6" ultra lite pole with 6lb test...the 16" trophy I caught right before the big one fought like a native summer out of the Siletz, jumped clear out of the water a few times and took some line
