Like you I still use Fenwick fiber glass for my Bobber fishing, can’t beat that tip action with that great backbone. Never seen a Red one before.. cool looking.

I use Fenwicks for different species...from warm water panfish, to bass, to trout and more. And I just verified with Victor Johnson, Jr. (the author of "Fenwick"), that it's likely a demo or "mock up" rod. But made by one of the newer owners of Fenwick rod company.

BTW...I have NEVER broken a fiberglass rod. But graphite is not nearly as forgiving, and several have broken. Even though I use far more glass rods.

I think that the picture I posted was not Fenwick rods. I just did a quick google and posted without looking too closely.

I also think that fiberglass rods are much more durable than graphite. I don't own too many pure fiberglass rods anymore, although some of my bass rods are a blend of fiberglass and graphite. I think every rod material has its place :)
