Found in the Minto Brown Slough off the Willamette in Salem this afternoon. It was about 80F outside for the third day straight, really muggy.
The only species I've ever caught out of there are Pumpkinseed and northern pikeminnow or sqawfish, whatever they are called!
Well, we kinda just let em slide off into the water, most of em snap out of it after a minute or two and swim off.
Yeah it's still low, but Mongold(sp?) still open, if you're putting a boat in.
Caught this little guy this afternoon, pretty sure it's a carp with it's big ol' sucker mouth and nasty green-yellow color. It didn't put up much of a fight. Using worm & hook! Anyone know any other spots near Salem that hold these guys?
