By wednesday, weather permiting will be on the hook! i just caught a Chinook on sunday, but then rain waters rolled in. I rather drive 2 hours to catch fish, than 1 to possibly catch fish.
It was a straight hook up, i was playing with the current in a 10ft hole (slightly faster than walking speed) and it came from below and took a bite. then it was gone ( alone with my spinner)
Today i went to test my luck at the creek. I was spinning with a #5 blue fox when WHAM!!! FISH ON!!! but then i jerked back and my knot had come undone. :( So if anyone catches one this weekend with a blue fox in its mouth... let me know. :)
I was just at Eagle Creek at Bonnie Lure, But no fish passed by... I talked to some of the people around and they said they just came down from the hatchery bc there was nothing there either. WHERE ARE YOU FISHES!?!?
Today i starrted my 1000 Casts on the wilson, But nothing to show for it. We went down all of wilson, stopping and casting along most of the holes but no success. It'll have to be some other time.
Just ordered my Ugly Stik 8'6" M with the Shimano Sedona 4000 FD Spinning Reel. EXCITED!! But now I have to wait. :( But it will end up arriving around my birthday Jan. 17!!! Happy Birthday to me! Thanks for all the people that posted info. I will sure post any catches i make with this set up...
Yes! I am wondering the same thing. This is my first year fishing for steelies and want to start off on a good note. I have been to McIver about 5 times with no luck during December.
