I have a 16' Smokercraft Alaskan with a 15hp motor and oars. I have never tried to get it wet in drift water, normally it is on a lake or the lower Umpqua below Scottsburg. Am I asking for trouble putting this type of boat in and fishing say from Clearwater Park -> Island Park? Or from Pengra ->...

Out again today, the river was a few inches higher, and a tad faster. The bite was not as good as Tuesday, but I hooked into a few fighters and c/r a nice cutthroat. The flow made it hard to get my lures to the bottom in the spots I wanted, but I enjoyed the hike either way.

I have picked up enough trash around that canal to recognize a pile...this was one person. I would have picked their trash up as well, but had already filled one bag down by the pipe alone. One day soon someone might sneak a trash can down and chain it to a pole... :think:

I saw it laying on the bank this morning in the middle of your garbage (5 hour energy, empty powerbait, empty egg hook packaging, etc, etc, etc). Too bad you are such a slob, I might have picked it up and gotten your name, maybe tried to track you down and return it to you. CLEAN UP YOUR TRASH!

We were out ABC yesterday and my buddy caught a nice fat stocker, I think he was using a minnow, tried several streamers.

What were you using, nymphs?

stocked it yesterday morning, two big boxes at the bridge, more hosed in at the pond. Looked like some nice size fish, power baiters were chumming in force.

Bumping this thread a bit ;) I use a red/gold Thomas Buoyant 1/4 oz and catch trout all the time with it.... NEVER landed one under 11" with this lure (and yes indeed, steelies hit it)
