    Eagle Creek fishing reports

This rain will likely move fish higher in the system, but people were stacked up at two log jam holes (along Eagle Creek); along the section where EC parallels the Clackamas, and also where that flows into the Clackamas again. You'd have to get wet to get to the latter two options, crossing the...

    Eagle Creek fishing reports

I hate to say it, but I saw about the same myself. For every five fish brought in, four were foul-hooked. Spent a good third of the day waiting around for snagged fish to be brought in and released so I could get back at it. There were some biters to be had, however. Assuming you could get...

    Eagle Creek fishing reports

I'm heading out there tomorrow after work. Was out there last Friday and was pretty surprised by how many people were working the log jam holes. Light lead and corkies or small jigs under a bobber seem to be the name of the game at present.

    Lets fish

With some rain in the forecast, I was actually thinking about doing that Moe, haha.

    10-11-13

Well done! I also tend to avoid the southern end of Hagg due to all the wake. Rather pit my drift boat against rocks and boulders than face off against Hagg's partygoers, haha. (=

    Where to go fish

If you're looking at the Sandy, it has several well known areas. Lewis & Clark, Dabney, Oxbow, and Dodge. These parks are along the river, from low to high. As to where fish might actually be on a certain day? Figuring that out is the hard part. ;) Edit: typo

    10/10 Trip?

It was nice meeting you and your friend yesterday, Jeff. Better luck next time! I definitely need to find my tackle backpack. It seems to have taken a long walk, so I had to resort to using my trout bag and a second canvas bag. It's rather awkward to trudge around like that. (=

    10/10 Trip?

Water was really nice yesterday. It was overcast with no wind. I got there a little after sunrise. Brought spinners, spoons, and eggs for a slip bobber. I was surprised by how many people were out there on a Thursday. Spoke with many of them. Observed the few that were having some success. I...

    10/10 Trip?

I'll be at Mill's Bridge around sun rise tomorrow. Probably stay there for most the day. Tan ball cap, brown waders, crazy big Frankenstein boots. (=

    10/05 & 10/06 Report - Oxbow Park

Thanks all. I definitely need to look into putting some braided line on, especially since I'm eager to head out to the Wilson. (=

    Lets fish the Sandy

I'll keep an eye out for that. I've been meaning to get back out there to chase some hatchery chinook. (=

    10/05 & 10/06 Report - Oxbow Park

Short Version Visited Oxbow on Saturday and Sunday. Water's running nice and surprisingly clear. There was easily over 10' of visibility both days. I checked out a few usual spots at Oxbow Park. There were a few dozen people out there both days. Spoke to many. General consensus was there's...
