    St Louis Ponds crappie

Every time I go I am told the crappie are in pond 5 but I've only ever been skunked there. If you fish roosters in 6 you'll find the LMB. Venture out past the power-bait crowd for best results. I saw something jump in pond 6 that was EASILY 2 ft long. I am guessing it was one of the monster cats...

    French Pete Campground

No not sure, he managed to get it off the line and back into the water before I could see the dorsal. It could have been a small bull, I suppose.

    French Pete Campground

Took the family to go camping and a hole in the French Pete campground. Walk towards the water between sites 3 and 5. There's an obvious hole that's loaded with bos and brookies. I pulled in a respectable bo on a dryfly/float bubble. Some guy with a collapsable walked up and pulled in a 2 lb...

    Fishing at St. Louis Ponds

I was there a couple days ago. There was some alleged stocking and about a half dozen trout hounds were sitting on a couple of stockers each. They were all congregated on the west bank of Pond 6. I scored 4 bluegill there, nothing special. I got a couple of strikes in pond 5 which were likely...

    Question for recent bank fishermen.

It could have been a brookie..because he popped off before I got my mits on him we will never know. If I get a confirmed non-bo I will post a pic.

    Question for recent bank fishermen.

I was up on Sunday with 8000 friends along the bank and had success with 2 red "power eggs" on a #10 about 2 feet off the bottom. Landed a couple minnows and then a nice 16.5" JUMPER about 30' off the bank, middle of the pond. Pretty shallow there, but I could see them start hunting the shallows...

    Question for recent bank fishermen.

I thought there were browns in here! We were fishing on 8/25 and I pulled my bait in for a check when I noticed there was a 4-5 inch brown on the line. He never got the PB all the way in his gullet and let go about 8 feet short of landing him. When I shared the experience with another fisherman...
