I just e-mailed ODFW to see who is stocking and why they aren't stocking brooders.

Well I'm not impressed. Caught 2 little ones and 2 12" ones. Really slow. We got checked for licenses by a very nice State Patrol officer. I have fished that lake for over 20 years, and this is the first time I got checked.

I heard that the stocking has changed. I use to work at Hebo Hatchery. It was a great place to work. Just a Fin Clipper, but not many can say I caught 60 thousand Steelhead by hand lol. I will give a report Monday on how we did.

Couple of things. I see they are not showing Trophy fish going into Big Creek 1 & 2. I also don't see any stocking of #2 in April. We are going on Monday and was wondering if anybody knows what's going on. I have fished there for a lot of years, and this is the first time I don't see trophy...

Not seeing any listing for Trophy fish stocking at Big Creek 1 or 2. What's up with that? I also see no listing for stocking Big Creek Res 2.

I have the same 70's ish Fenwicks rod and love it. Need to get to the lake soon.

Well we had a good trip. No fish, one nibble. The lake is really nice, and well maintained. We tried Sain Creek area, and by the boat docks. Saw a few stockers caught, but everybody said it's slow. Will try again soon.

Finally getting to go to the lake tomorrow. Can't wait to give it a try. Need to pick up some night crawlers and a hypo to pump them up! Will report how we do.

Wife and I are going tomorrow (Monday the 25th) to give it a shot.

He has a leash, and we also bring a rope.

Thanks guys. Will try to catch a big one! Just got a Jeep Wrangler 4 door. It's the new fishing rig. The KIA is now retired lol.

So in a few weeks, my wife and I want to give the lake a try. We will be bank fishing and would like some advice where (location wise) to start out. We normally use a sliding egg sinker to a swivel, and about a 2 to 3 foot leader. Does that sound like a good setup? We fish Big Creek Res...

We went yesterday and it was pretty slow. We did catch 3 nice fish, and I lost a real nice one! Got to get a net!!!

We did go back on Monday. We did good, got a few 12"+ fish.

Well we did good. Got our limits including a few 13" and 12" fish. Overall a good day. Going to try again tomorrow.
