Dan Dettier I believe. Been on the willamete and in Tillamook bay with him. Dads been on quite a few more and he has always done really well with him. Me of course..... But my luck will change soon, I'm sure of it;)

I guess the timing couldn't be better cause my dad just booked a drift boat trip on the Wilson for February for the two of us. It's with a guide he's used many times and is willing to share secrets. Hopefully he can point me in the right direction if I'm not already headed there myself:)

Went out Sunday morn and started down by mills bridge. Didn't spend much time there cause by daybreak there were people everywhere. Worked by way up the river and hit every hole that wasn't full of cars. Worked on my bobber and jig technique with no success then switch to drifting a spin-glo...

Weird question but was it missing an eye? I swear to you I was fishing by the footbridge Saturday morning and thought I had a strike. When I reeled in all there was was a fish eye! Tried to take a pic but couldn't get phone out of waders.

I carry two poles. One with a spinner and on set up to drift. Trying to drift fish more cause I hear it's effective but I seem to do better with spinners.

Gonna hit the Wilson and/or the trask this weekend from the bank. Gonna throw blue fox and do some drift fishing and see what I come up with. Thinking Sunday morning may be the better of the weekend? Got a lot to learn myself so I will be watching closely:)

Love the info. Been watching forum for a while now and started fishing the Wilson/Trask a couple years back. Live close and thought it was criminal not to fish fish it. Took me a year or so but got my first steelie on the Wilson in April and been somewhat successful with the salmon there also...
