We're not allowed to harvest Carp because they're an invasive species? Are they included in the law that we're not supposed to remove certain species from the water? James

Carp is considered a quality fish in a lot of the Asian countries. I'm wanting to learn how to fish for it here, since it's considered a "trash fish" and there's no limit on them in our state.

I made it out to Fern Ridge to try my notes on fishing near the dam during winter. Was hoping to catch bullhead. No luck though. Fished Dexter at the bridge for trout today, but no luck on that either... I would have been ecstatic to have reeled in even a carp or pike minnow. Something! James

What types of techniques do y'all use for steelhead? If you let me know, I'll gear up before then so I can fish the same way everyone else is. James

Caught my limit in hatchery rainbows today right next to Lookout dam, on the Dexter side. Used powerbait off of the bottom and watched the line closely (they were really subtle nibbles), so I could set the hook. Took 2 hours to reach my limit. The biggest was shy of 13".

It's the Gopro camera and good narration while shooting :thumb:
