I had the opportunity last year to fish Wickiup with Troutski, take his help - trust him.... I put a personal best Rainbow and Brown in his boat. One of my best weekends on that lake, I still go back and still catch very nice fish. Did you understand when he said "slip bobber" this is the key...

Oh to be sure, the further up stream you travel the better the catching:dance::cool:

How far up did you try, this is one low pressure body of water.

Beavers have moved in Beavers have moved in I was wondering if those ponds were open for fishing, looks like there is some serious current running through it. Is there a Trout population in those ponds ? I drive by them twice a day, very cool looking place. GM

That can be a very ruff ride at times, big water and mountain wind.

Great place for Trout, I learned how to fly fish on that river. Mighty fine water up there, you are camped in a great location. You should try the spur road just before you cross the bridge in the back; headed up stream of the lake, turn right and the road follows the river for a good piece...

I read somewhere that Dorena is receiving a fish passage, Salmon and Steel will be able to run up to the Falls. Cutties are there all year long, great fighters to be sure. Thanks for the help. GM

Wow - I actually know that place, is it Walker Creek? I was lucky enough to get a trip with Troutski before I went missing and he took me there. That lake has the prettiest water, the color is almost unreal. Nice to see a familiar place, thanks for the pic's. GM

That is just too cool, thanks for the hint on the ketchup. I enjoy chasing them, a real four season fish. Nebraska has a state Carp Turny, big bucks. Still like that they fetch, nice:). GM
