Winter toon adventures

Hello all,
what do you guys wear when floating rivers in the winter/early spring?
I want to do a few easy to moderate runs, but I don't really have any warm waterproof clothes.
is it best to get yak clothes or go with waders and a water proof top?

I would go with a self inflating PFD and a wading belt for sure!

Wear your waders, and depending on conditions you don't need kayak clothes. If it is raining wear your waterproof shell over all your warm layers and your waders. Neoprene gloves are a must if is cold and windy.

Ya I'd use waders and a waterproof shell, with appropriate bottom layers.

I just started fishing last winter and I am still in the process of getting a good base of gear
I plan on Picking up some waders this weekend, but I am torn between neoprene or nylon

Which do you guys prefer and why?

I am leaning towards nylon so I can layer polyester long underwear
I don't mind wading in shirts when it's warm out

I would get neoprene right now for the winter, they are a lot warmer and more durable. Check out cabelas, they have a good price on a good set of 3mm waders.
