Winter time bass fishing

I have gone out a few times in the lakes/reservoir near Roseburg but with no luck. I have heard they go deep and to fish slow for them with jigs but i can't seem to figure it out. Have you guys had any luck?

Throw a 8" hud and slowly swim it along the bottom. Go with gear ready to tangle with your new PB.

It really is boring compared to spring and summer time fishing.

Just looked up that 8" hud they seem to be expensive but might have to pick one up. The rainbow trout one looks pretty good.

Try a Savage gear pulse tail trout or a 6.8 Keitech
If you want a cheaper entry into the swim bait game.

Worm, or scented plastic lure on the bottom.
Put rod down, sip hot beverage, reach over and turn reel half crank between sips.

have fun.

I googled 8” hud and couldn’t find anything related to fishing. I want to catch winter bass to ;D can you tell me what it is?

68 all the way!

It is the 6" bait with the larger 8" tail, I strongly recommend the jighook style over the weedless

With the 8" hudd and the fish in Oregon, I would add a stinger treble.
