My son was in town Friday morning so we decided to take a quick trip to the Willamette. Launched out of Cedar Oak around 8:30. Water was very calm and skies were overcast. Started targeting rocking sections with crankbaits, jerkbaits and swimbaits to no success. Switched to Ned rigs and started picking up fish here and there. In two hours, caught 5 that went around a pound and 8 dinks. All bites were real subtle. Both new ZMann colors - sprayed glass and hot snakes produced fish. No one else was launching/taking out at the ramp when we were. Boat motor wasn't running great, so we stayed within a mile of the ramp. I think its a moisture in the fuel issue that I am putting off dealing with. Overall a very quiet, relaxing trip, even if the size of the fish was lacking.
