There is a brand new 570 bed jail paid for by our taxes, sitting unused, that
could hold most if not all of the criminal shooters in Oregon and Washington.
But the government Unions keep the jail operating costs 'too high', allowing politicians
to deem it more affordable to have the taxpayers killed, robbed, and raped, one by one, so they can squander the budgets to fund more toy trains. These, and the inevitable subsidized housing that grow like fungus in the surrounding neighborhoods, have been the prime arterial for gang territory expansionism, since the first Max train was squeezed out of the taxpayers pockets. If they can't turn a profit without taxes, rip out the tracks.
Cancel the proposed light-rail projects, and miraculously, there would be money to operate the phantom ghost jail (the one that's invisible to all the paper pushing gun-grabbers lurking in their fantasy cubicles, tweeting their adoring newsroom talking heads) Sure, it would require intelligent planning, and inter-agency cooperation, but those are considered science fiction, in the offices of the un-fireable bureaucrats. Adams and Kittzhaber would rather recycle broken glass in the sewers, than open the jail!
