Where to fish

Hello, tomorrow being opening day, I promised my boys I'd take them fishing. I'm thinking either Leaburg Lake or Fall Creek Res. Can someone help me with where on these lakes would give my kids the best shot at catching fish?

The stocked leaburg recently in the lake and up river. Heres the best tool for getting your kids to catch fish. ODFW - 2009 Trout Stocking Schedule - South Willamette Watershed District

Leaburg would definitely be a better bet. Fall Creek can be hard at times (the lake). Although leaburg will be crowded. You might even try blue river off the saddle dam or up where the river comes in. I think they have stocked it already as well as blue river above the resivoir

I have never been skunked at fall creek.its where I take the kids and wife to catch fish,always been consistant.We hike out the dam till almost at the overflow,put on some power bait, cast and let sink slowly,they usually grab it on the drop.roosters seem to work well too.good luck!

Try the Alton Baker canal, the ODFW stock it mainly for kids...very cool place for the little people...
